Summary

This beautiful 1937 Dodge D5 Sedan was a 34-year member of the family that donated it. Their Father had purchased the Dodge in 1987 and lovingly performed a body-off-frame restoration that was completed in 2001. It has been driven less than 500 miles since then. In the last few years, the family hasn’t taken it on any road trips, but has been faithful in keeping the battery charged and running it around their subdivision, every 2 weeks.

The Dodge is beautifully finished in a dark blue-green, which was called “Gyro Blue Metallic” in the 1937 Dodge paint chip chart (painted in 1996). The interior is very nicely done in tan mohair fabric (interior done in 2000) and darker wood trim. For ventilation, the windshield tilts outward, from the bottom, the windows roll down and there are both forward and rear vent windows that rotate. The Interior is quite large, has an adjustable front bench seat and would easily fit 6 passengers. It has split rear windows with a privacy shade, as well as a reading lamp.

The D5 engine is a flathead 6 cylinder and has a 3-speed manual transmission. The renovation faithfully restored the engine compartment to reflect the period correct accessories.

The Dodge comes with all the invoices and records from the renovation, the Owner and Shop manuals, and 3 large boxes of spare parts, some original items and the tire changing tools.

Please take a look at the rest of this page to view the 70+ photos, 3 videos, our spec sheet, and details of the items in the boxes.
